first pilote course successfully finished

- The decision makers course has been piloted in a test run with friendly users from Geislingen. There were 13 decision makers from different parties of the municipal council taking part in the pilot course lasting from September 2010 to January 2011. BEAM 21 is selected landmark 2011 in Germany

- The project BEAM 21 is selected landmark 2011 in the German initiative "Germany - land of ideas". The project has been selected out of 2600 applications as one of 365 landmarks in Germany representing future orientated, innovative, creative and divers ideas. more»

Third project meeting: Course adaptation in progress

- On 1st/2nd December 2010 the project Partners met in Warsaw for the third project meeting. The first conclusions from the first pilote course with friendly users have been presented and partners have been discussing the first round of adaptation of the course to the specific needs of the partner countries. more»

First pilot course with friendly users started

- On 27th September 2010 the first BEAM 21 pilote course started successfully with friendly users from Geislingen. Twelve participants mainly from the city council test the blended learning course under the guidance of Talheimer. more»

learning targets

- The learning targets of the BEAM 21 training course include understanding the complexity of interrelations of municipal measures as well as skills and practical knowlegde for initiating, developing and implementing measures to reduce CO2 emissions. more»

advisory board

- The project's advisory board includes key experts and representatives providing strategic guidance and/or technical input to the project. Meanwhile BEAM 21 won five experts and representatives for the project's advisory board. more»

Letters of interest

- About 60 European municipalities declared their interest in BEAM 21 officially. With this number of declarations the first milestone of the project is taken and the partners start working on the concrete learning modules. more»

Project kick-off

- On 17th and 18th of September 2009 all project partners met for the project kick-off in the city Eberswalde in Germany. After an introductory discussion on possibilities for a European Community for Renewable Energy, the Mayor of Eberswalde welcomed the international guests at the University of Applied Sciences. more»
